What Is Maxillofacial Surgery? In our Department of Oral, Dental, and Maxillofacial Surgery, the diagnosis and surgical treatment of all diseases and disorders of the oral soft tissues (tongue, cheek, lips, salivary glands, etc.), teeth, jaws, and temporomandibular joint are performed. Depending on the type of procedure and the patient’s condition, planned surgical interventions are carried out under local anesthesia, conscious sedation, or general anesthesia.
